Absence

Mrs Nicky Gould - Attendance Officer

Meet Mrs Gould - I have worked in schools for 14 years, previously at St James School as an administrator and Tutor. For a hobby I perform with a musical theatre group in Crediton.  I love being on stage but not necessarily in a starring role!

I am now the Attendance Officer at Cranbrook Education Campus. You may see me at the front of the school in the mornings and the first port of call for reporting absences or to discuss any absence related queries you may have.

Absences need to be reported no later than 8.30am. To make this process as easy as possible for you, there are two ways that you can do this:

  1. The School Number – 01404 823293 Option 1. (Please leave a message)
  2. Via email-[email protected]

For all options please state your child’s full name, class and reason for absence. If you do not contact the school your child will be given an automatic unauthorised absence, these remain on their school records.

All of the above options are checked every morning. I am unable to reply to them all but please rest assured they will be checked for messages.

Should you have any other queries about absence please email me and I will respond as soon as I can.

All medical/dental appointments where possible should be made outside of school hours. If your child does need to attend one please email me with a copy of their appointment letter/card.

For any other period of Absence please download an Absence Request form here

Please note unless there are exceptional circumstances all holiday will be unauthorised.

Thank you in advance, your co-operation is appreciated.

Kindest regards,

Nicky Gould
