Pupils, families and staff at Cranbrook Education Campus (CEC), a proud member of the Ted Wragg Trust, are celebrating #Crantastic GCSE results today (20 August 2026).

Results Day marks an important moment for pupils at CEC as they celebrate the culmination of years of hard work, determination and commitment and look ahead to the exciting next steps in their education, training and employment.

As a school rooted in its community, CEC is committed to ensuring that aspirational learning and opportunities transform the lives of its pupils. CEC’s values – the PERKS of being #Crantastic: Proud, Engaged, Ready, Kind and Safe – underpin its ambition for every pupil to leave CEC with the qualifications, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive.

Pupils have achieved a strong set of GCSE results, supporting them to go onto their next steps of choice. And many Year 10 pupils who took their early-entry English Literature GCSE secured a pass, helping to prepare them to move into their final GCSE year. 

CEC also celebrated a successful first year of offering separate science qualifications with an amazing 91% of Year 11 pupils achieving a Grade 4 or above across their separate science qualifications, with 100% of pupils achieving a Grade 4 or above in GCSE Biology and GCSE Chemistry, and 91% in GCSE Physics.

These results reflect the hard work of pupils alongside the dedication of staff and the support of families throughout their time at CEC. They also form part of CEC’s wider commitment to ensuring that every child, from the beginning of their journey in Early Years through to GCSE, is supported to achieve and succeed.

At CEC, pupils benefit from a wide range of opportunities that connect classroom learning to future careers. This year, these have included a hospitality workshop with award-winning local restaurant Denley’s, where pupils worked alongside professional chefs, a STEM careers session exploring roles such as dental technician, veterinary nurse and colour technician through hands-on activities, and a workshop delivered by Evo focusing on innovation and digital skills.

Among the many individual successes being celebrated today are:

• Kirthikh J who achieved 1 * Grade 9, 3 * Grade 8’s, 1 * Grade 7 and 3 * Grade 6’s. Kirthikh will now be going on to Exeter College to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

• Quinn W who achieved 3 * Grade 8’s, 4 * Grade 7’s and 2 * Grade 5’s. Quinn will now be going on to Exeter College to study A levels in Psychology, Sociology and Biology. 

• Khloe S who achieved 2 * Grade 8’s, 5 * Grade 7’s, 1 * Grade 6 and a Distinction in Music. Khloe will now be going on to Exeter College to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and French.

• Ethan D who achieved 1 * Grade 8, 1 * Grade 7, 5 * Grade 6’s and 2 * Grade 5’s. Ethan will now be going on to Exeter College to study A levels in Maths, Psychology and Biology

• Ruby C who achieved 2 * Grade 9’s, 1 * Grade 7, 2 * Grade 6’s and 3 * Grade 5’s. Ruby will now be going on to The King’s School to study A levels in Biology, English Literature and History.
